The hotel was very centrally located. I definitely recommend it. When we came to the beginning of the street, we were going to the shopping street. Everything was at our fingertips. Restaurants, cafes and shops are within walking distance. Even though the hotel was in the center, it was very quiet and we were not disturbed at all. The bed was very comfortable. We chose breakfast included. The breakfast was very sufficient and diverse. The hotel is very old, in fact, Franz Kafka stayed here for a long time. In my opinion, hotels with such historical background are more impressive. The employees were very attentive and friendly, and every request we had was met very quickly. thank you very much

Hotel was very nice, room was charming and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Light fixtures and furniture were old fashioned and we loved the look. Bathroom was updated, clean and very comfortable. Cleaning staff were very efficient and everyday cleaned as soon as we left for town - we enjoyed comming after lunch to a clean room. Breakfast had a good selection of food and personel made coffee to order - we loved our food and coffee. Hotel is located in close proximity to museums and old town - you can walk to a lot of attractions. We also loved old time charm and old fashioned real keys - was fun to actually lock the door for a change.

You cannot beat the location of the Graben Hotel! It's just next to St Stephan's Cathedral but in a small quiet side street that offers peace during the daytime rush but simultanuously has got you RIGHT THERE next to Vienna's greatest attractions and 50 meters from the subway station. The hotel is not a big thing but it is really clean, the staff are very capable and friendly, always ready to assist. The breakfast (it is optional, I had it included in my rate) was very good, the fruit and vegetables were always fresh and the morning staff was very readily available to cater any special needs. The rooms (my room at least) are on the small side but that is understandable as this is obviously a converted apartment building, the beds are comfordable and the toilets sparklingly clean. Overall, I had a great experience and I will definitely be staying again. Well done!

The location was the best. Just near the Stephansdom. Although the room was small (16m^2), the bed was large (a double bed for a single room) and very comfortable. The staff was all friendly. Considering the size of the room, it was soundproofed sufficiently. Housekeeping was efficient; they never put off their work till afternoon.

The location could not be better--close to the restaurants, cafe, tourist spots. I did not take any public transportation during my stay. I walked to everywhere except to the airport. The staff at the reception were always helpful and friendly. I asked twice to print tickets, and they quickly responded. The single room had enough space for one person. The bath room was big enough. The building, reception area, and room were a bit old fashion, but I found it charming and liked it. That was exactly what I wanted for my stay in Vienna.

Since 1927 the Graben Hotel is in the center of Vienna on a tranquil side street off Graben in the middle of the Old Quarter. The historic hotel comprised of fifty-six rooms have art nouveau, traditional and modern furniture in a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel staff is fabulous and are extremely accommodating to the tourist's needs. The main lobby and room service employees were wonderful as well as the restaurant staff. The hotel is a short walking distance from major sights. Many pedestrian walkways are available for the tourist to enjoy several Christmas markets, St. Stephan's Cathedral, House of Julius Meinl store, Konditerai Aida, churches, museums, concert halls, palaces, shops, traditional carriage rides, as well as to public transportation. The hotel’s next door Trattoria Santo Stefano provides delicious meals as well as breakfasts. ((I contracted bronchitis and during my last four days in Vienna, the staff was wonderful in providing me with breakfast and dinner room service and moreover, arranging a doctor to come to my room to discuss my medical condition and prescribe my medications.)) THIS IS A FABULOUS HOTEL WHO LOVES HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE! :)

The location, in a pedestrianised alley opening out into Stephanplatz, with its iconic Stephandomchurch, is amazing. Perfect! We enjoyed the hotel's convivial atmosphere and historical interest. The staff at both hotel and restaurant were unfailingly hospitable; they really tried to make us feel at home. All this for a price that seemed to us very reasonable! And - I can't help adding - this was Vienna! A fabulous city that everywhere displays all the charms of the Graben Hotel itself. Overall, I rate our trip to Vienna as the easiest and most stress-free ever, while also stimulating and enjoyable.
